I haven’t read the book–didn’t know it was available. I think I’ll wait for the new edition–it sounds like it could help me
Thanks Dori!

I have read this book and found it to be very informative – I learned a lot about selling. I just have not given myself the “kick in the rear” that I need to get started selling. I really enjoy sewing doll clothes and love the Pixie Faire / Liberty Jane patterns
Thanks Janet – I appreciate the feedback! The holiday season is a great time to jump in!

I am trying to build my business how about taking on someone new and helping them follow the steps and using them as a case study?
I am a self starter and needing more out of my business.
Thanks
Tonya
Thanks Tonya – hang in there!

I read this book cover to cover when I got it…couldn’t put it down. So what works for some might not work for others, but I found a lot of inspiration in it. And then life took on a crazy busy slant and I haven’t had a chance to set up my craft business yet…hopefully November! Book one was great and I expect book 2 will be even better by the way you are describing it. Hang in there and keep smiling!
Thanks for the feedback Betty – and I hope November is the month for your launch!
Thanks for sharing!
Jason
I have not read the book. I feel confident that when I do and follow your guide, my business will grow. My goal for next few months is to concentrate on growing my business from one that has just been focused on craft shows to one that is flourishing via my website and my Etsy store. I can’t wait to get my hands on your book!
Hi Ellen,
Thanks for the encouraging feedback. I’m excited to see how your project turns out!!

I’m in the middle of this book now, and where I can see it already assisting me is in really focusing in on how I want my beginning business strategy to go. This is a point I’ve been stuck on and one reason I find myself dragging my feet getting started. From my past professional life (many twists & turns, but I ended up as Admin for a group of Directors in a biotech Strategic Sourcing department) I know to be successful there needs to be focus with the product and with the business approach, and that these strategies need revision at times along your journey for strategy success/failure and goal changes. So now I find myself in the process of fine-tuning my goal and identifying the best strategy to get to it (so far a combination of Ebay auction (my fave) and either an Ebay or Etsy shop (for a more continuing presence)…
I hope to finish reading you book later this evening and then on to Etsy Power as well as a few more titles to really define this path forward and get moving.
Um, that was a pretty harsh criticism in your video, by the way. I think the reader wasn’t considering that maybe your intended audience needed to be led more than she did and that your style was better suited to that audience. Reading a few sample pages befor buying can sometime sort out titles less appropriate for your needs. I appreciated that you made no assumptions as to how business sophisitcated your audience was, because we are not all very advanced along this path as it specifically pertains to us and our skill sets. I;ve worked in the business world for decades, but these are steps I’ve never had to take. It’s sometimes the hardest part- defining the goals and identifying how to tackle achieving them.
Hi Robin,
Glad you’re enjoying it – and it sounds like you’re off to a great start! Please keep me posted on how it all goes!

I read the book. I thought it was fantastic. I got a great understanding of how to brand an item and why. I am a big Project Runway fan and always had a dreamed of being a clothing designer. But I do not have the energy or fashion understanding or drive to pursue that avenue. But while I was reading you book, I realized I could do all that through doll clothing. I got a sewing machine and am working on learning how to use it. I am enjoying all the fashion world from dolls to teens to adults. Your book opened up a new world for me and had great ideas to market my crafts.
Hi Pat,
Thanks for the feedback – I’m glad you enjoyed it! Your project sounds really exciting – keep us posted!
